Biography

Education and Post-Graduate Training

Martha Estrada currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at
the Texas A&M College of Dentistry.

Professor Estrada received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Baylor College of
Dentistry, and Master of Science in Higher Education from Texas A&M University Commerce.

She has more than 21 years of experience clinical practice as a registered dental hygienist in
private practice dentistry. She is dedicated to helping students excel in their careers by fostering
strong clinical skills and effective communication, enabling them to provide high-quality patient
care and serve their communities.

Professor Estrada is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Texas
Dental Hygienists’ Association, Greater Fort Worth Dental Hygiene Association, Association for
Dental Safety, Dental Hygiene Educators of Texas, American Dental Education Association,
Hispanic Dental Association, Hispanic Student Dental Association, American Student Dental
Association, and Student National Dental Association.

She currently serves as course director of Theory of Dental Hygiene I. Additional clinical
teaching responsibilities are in Clinical Dental Hygiene courses I-IV, Applied Dental Materials,
and the lead clinical dental hygiene faculty on the Undergraduate Pediatric Dentistry rotation.
She is also the acting faculty advisor to the Hispanic Student Dental Association.
